The game about the Ukrainian drone operator DFA was translated into the Crimean Tatar language

Rockodile studio and Lesser Evil publishing house have translated a computer game about the Ukrainian drone operator Death From Above into the Crimean Tatar language.

As the developers themselves note on the project’s official page on Steam, native speakers participated in the creation of the translation.

“Residents of Crimea, for whom the Crimean Tatar language is their native language, suffered most from the long-term Russian invasion of Ukrainian territory. The erasure of language and culture is one of the first signs of imperialism and violent occupation, so we gladly took the opportunity to make Death From Above available to play in the native language of the Crimean Tatars. We will not stand by and allow Putin’s aggression to go unanswered”,- said Lesser Evil CEO Hendrik Lesser.

In addition, the developers implemented a Crimean Tatar image for the character in Death From Above.

Let us remind you that the Crimean Tatar language is on the UNESCO list of endangered languages. Indeed, it is very important to promote the development of the Crimean Tatar language, because the language will live if it is in demand.
