The Crimean Tatar Resource Center presents analysis of violations of human rights in the occupied Crimea over May 2018. According to the organization, during the month Russian “security officers” conducted four searches in the houses of the Crimean Tatars. 31 detentions were registered, 26 of them in relation to the representatives of the Crimean Tatar people and 30 interrogations, 25 of them were against the Crimean Tatars. The total number of arrests in May made 18, 14 of them – in relation to the representatives of the indigenous Crimean Tatar people. 31 times the right to a fair trial was violated, 26 times in relation to the Crimean Tatars. 3 times the right to the highest attainable standard of physical and mental health was violated, 1 time Russian “security officers” violated the right to peaceful assemblies. In May, there were registered 4 cases of illegal transfer of political prisoners from Crimea to Russia, one case of deportation and three cases of military exercises.
