The Crimean Tatar Resource Center presents the analysis of violation of human rights in the occupied Crimea over March 2018. According to the organization, for over a month the Russian “security officers” conducted 7 searches. Ten detentions and 11 interrogations and warnings presented by the occupation authorities were registered. The total number of arrests in March made 18, 14 of which – in relation to the representatives of the indigenous Crimean Tatar people. 46 times the right to a fair trial was violated, 40 times in relation to the Crimean Tatars. 6 times the right to the highest attainable standard of physical and mental health was violated. One case of illegal transfer of a political prisoner to the territory of the mainland Russia and one case of illegal military exercises conducted in the territory of the occupied Crimea were registered. In addition, on March 18, 2018, in violation of the Ukrainian legislation and international law, the elections of the President of the Russian Federation illegally took place in Crimea. Dozens of cases of pressure on people and coercion to take part in the so-called elections were registered.
