Analysis of human rights violations in the occupied Crimea over the I quarter of 2018 (presentation)

The Crimean Tatar Resource Center presents the аnalysis of human rights violations in the occupied Crimea over the I quarter of 2018. During the first three months the occupants conducted 19 searches, 12 of them in the houses of representatives of the indigenous people. The total number of detentions in the first quarter of 2018 was 28, 14 detainees were the representatives of the indigenous Crimean Tatar people. 40 cases of illegal interrogations were registered, 22 of them – in relation to the representatives of the Crimean Tatar people; 39 arrests, 28 of them – in relation to the Crimean Tatars. For the I quarter of 2018 the total amount of the fines imposed by the occupation courts of Crimea made 339.500 rubles (143.348 USD.). There were 170 cases of violation of the right to a fair trial, 149 of them – in relation to the representatives of the indigenous people; 17 violations of the right to the highest attainable standard of physical and mental health; 2 cases of violation of the right to peaceful assembly; 26 cases of illegal visit of the occupied Crimea; 24 cases of deportation from Crimea and 9 facts of illegal military exercises in the occupied territory of the peninsula.
