On Monday, November 27, members of Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people and the leader of the Crimean Tatar people Mustafa Dzhemilev met with members of the public organization Arab Council of Ukraine.
As noted by the Head of the Board of the Crimean Tatar Resource Center, Eskender Bariiev, the interlocutors discussed the situation in the Middle East in connection with the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and their consequences, as well as issues of further assistance in Ukraine’s communications with representatives of the Muslim world, including with representatives of Middle Eastern countries , and primarily with Arab countries.
During the discussion, questions were also discussed about the possibility of holding an international conference on the topic Ukraine and the Muslim World, the purpose of which would be to attract the attention of Muslim countries and Middle Eastern countries to support Ukraine in matters of the Russian-Ukrainian war. And on the other hand, to inform Ukrainian society more about the role of Muslim countries in supporting Ukraine.
“We also discussed how we can develop an expert environment in Ukraine on Middle East issues, so that the Ukrainian authorities can receive more objective and complete information about the real situation in the Middle East”,- Bariiev added.
