On Wednesday, March 8, at the office of Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people, a working meeting was held with representatives of the International Republican Institute (IRI), IRI Program Manager (Ukraine) Timothy Stoutzenberg and program assistant Aiar Memetov.
The meeting was also attended by the Chairman of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people Refat Chubarov, the Head of the Board of the Crimean Tatar Resource Center, the head of the Department for Legal Affairs and Foreign Affairs of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people Eskender Bariiev and a member of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people Riza Shevkiiev.
Eskender Bariiev, having 24 years of experience with the IRI and taking into account today’s realities, proposed the development of educational programs to prepare youth and IDPs for the future reintegration of Crimea, as well as programs aimed at strengthening the institutional capacity of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people.
“Given the importance of these issues, we hope that soon everyone will get acquainted with the results of joint work”,- he said.
