On Friday, May 27, lawyers Aider Azamatov and Emine Avamileva, who had come to defend their colleague Nazim Sheikhmambetov, were detained in the occupied Crimea near the building of the so-called Central District Court in Simferopol. It was reported by the Crimean Solidarity public association.
“Me and the lawyer Emine Avamileva were detained by police officers in the performance of professional duties to protect the lawyer Sheikhmambetov near the building of the Central District Court of Simferopol and are being taken to the Khmelnytsky street 4, to clarify the circumstances of an administrative offense under part 1 of article 20.2.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation”,- said lawyer Aider Azamatov.
We remind you that on May 26, employees of the Center for Combating Extremism detained lawyer Edem Semedliaiev in occupied Simferopol for posting on social networks and fined him 75,000 rubles. The occupants also detained the lawyer Nazim Sheikhmambetov, who came to the so-called Kyiv district court to defend his colleague Edem Semedliaiev. An administrative protocol was drawn up against him under Article 20.2.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation for the events of October 26, 2021 after 6 months.
