President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky signed a law on the social and legal protection of political prisoners and prisoners of war and members of their families.
“Today, on this very day, I am signing the law adopted by the Verkhovna Rada On the social and legal protection of persons in respect of whom the fact of deprivation of personal freedom as a result of armed aggression against Ukraine and members of their families has been established”,- Zelensky said.
The President stressed that the law would protect all peaceful, civilian people who were repressed by the Russian military and who were captured by them.
