Russian security officials disrupted the meeting of the public association “Crimean solidarity” and forced all activists to provide their data

On Saturday, January 27, Russian officers disrupted the meeting of the public association “Crimean solidarity”, which was held in Sudak. Police officers referred to the “message” about the probability of presence weapon and forced all present to provide their passport data . In addition, all activists were photographed, – reported “Crimean Solidarity”.

According to the information  provided by the Crimean solidarity page on Facebook, there were about 60-70 security officials: police officers, OMON squad, employees of the Center for Countering extremism, as well as security forces with signs  of the National Guard of the Russian Federation.

According to the activists, the police officers, referred to the "message" about a large meeting of "suspicious" people who brought "many bags" into the hall, the probability of finding weapons, examined the dining room  where the meeting was held and the adjacent territories. In addition, sniffer dogs were brought into the hall and into the kitchen.

10 policemen copied the data of the activists, took explanations and took close-up photos.

Activists and lawyers regard the actions of the security officers as an act of intimidation and a way to suppress the non-violent resistance of the Crimean Tatars in response to repressions.

It is reported that the information  about the presence of weapons at the premise where the meeting of the "Crimean Solidarity" was held, was not confirmed.
