The expert of the Crimean Tatar Resource Center Yevgeny Khlobystov reacted to the statement of the occupiers about the creation of a complex for extracting useful substances from the acid accumulator of the Crimean Titan plant. He stated in an interview with Crimea.Realities that there is more PR in the statements of the occupying authorities than attempts to really solve the problem.
“I have not heard from the representatives of the occupation authorities even a hint of any strategy for the development of agriculture. Firstly, there is constant pollution from the Crimean Titan side, and this affects the yield and all aspects of crop production. Secondly, it is economically meaningless, because in the north of Crimea there are simply no water resources and modern technologies that are adapted for fisheries in conditions of lack of moisture. That is, I see in the statements of the occupying authorities more PR than attempts to really solve the problem”,- he explained.
The expert noted that the modernization and greening of local chemical industry enterprises requires very large funds. Back in 2013, for Crimean Titan, the volume of necessary investments for these purposes was comparable to the income from several years of its work.
