Forecasters from the occupied Crimea noted that due to a long shortage of precipitation in the upper reaches of most of the main rivers, very low water levels were observed, and five rivers: Alma, Chorna, Kacha, Belbek and Tonas were completely dry. This is reported by the so-called Hydrometeorological Center of the annexed peninsula.
Since July 26, the Kacha River near the village of Suvorove has dried up, on August 3, the Alma River has dried up above the Partyzansk reservoir, on August 13, the Chorna River has dried up above the Chornorichensk reservoir, on August 18, the Belbek River near the Fruktove village has dried up, on August 29, for the first time in the history of hydrometeorological observations, the Tonas River has dried up, which is the right tributary of the Biyuk-Karasu river”,- the message said.
Subsequently, the flow of water into the Partyzansk and Chornorichensk reservoirs stopped, and to the rest it was insignificant.
