On December 28, a rally in support of Ukraine and President Volodymyr Zelensky took place in Miami on the bridge leading to the US president’s Mar-a-Lago residence. Dozens of people with Ukrainian and American flags gathered ahead of Zelensky’s expected meeting with Donald Trump. This was reported by Channel 24, citing social media posts by participants in the event.

Among many posters there was one poster with the words “Crimea is Ukraine,” symbolizing the participants’ unwavering position on the territorial integrity of Ukraine. The rally lasted from 6 p.m. to midnight Kyiv time.

Activists from the Ukrainian Association of Florida called on the Trump administration to sign a mutual defense treaty with Ukraine, which would provide security guarantees and open up new opportunities in the military, technological, and economic spheres for both countries. In addition, participants demanded that Russia return 20,000 abducted Ukrainian children.

The Crimean Tatar Resource Center thanks all people around the world who support Ukraine, in particular those who recognize Crimea as Ukrainian, and calls on the international community to continue to defend the rights and territorial integrity of our state.
