“According to the information received, on February 12, 2025, at around 8:00 a.m., the woman was detained by FSB officers at the intersection of Chapaeva and Constitution streets in the city of Kezlev (Yevpatoria). At the time of her detention, she was with her sister, Inna Shtrifanova. Both were taken to the so-called FSB Directorate for the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol at the following address: 6/2 Belinsky Street, Kezlev (Yevpatoria),” said the Chairman of the Board
of the CTRC. He added that after the conversation, Inna Shtrifanova was released, but Tetiana was detained. Unfortunately, for a long time, the whereabouts of Tetiana Shtrifanova, born on October 26, 1980, remained unknown.
However, despite numerous appeals to the occupation authorities: the so-called police, the prosecutor’s office, and the FSB — the family never received any official information about Tetiana Shtrifanova’s condition, place of detention, or legal status.
“According to the Crimean Tatar Resource Center’s own sources, it has become known that the woman is currently being illegally held in detention center No. 2 in the city of Akmesdzhit (Simferopol),” – Bariiev emphasized.
This is yet another example of the occupiers forcibly detaining a person and then refusing to provide information to relatives about their whereabouts.
“I am forced to note an increase in the persecution of women in Crimea, which is further evidence of the occupation authorities’ deliberate policy of repression,” – said Eskender Bariiev.
The Crimean Tatar Resource Center will continue to take all necessary steps to ensure that international organizations respond appropriately to this crime.
