In occupied Akyar (Sevastopol), the occupation court sentenced a 42-year-old mother, Viktoria Strilets, and her 24-year-old daughter, Oleksandra Strilets, to 12 years in prison each, accusing them of so-called “treason.” This was reported by the occupation media.

According to the occupation prosecutor’s office, the women allegedly photographed Russian armed forces facilities and sent the photos to the Ukrainian side via messenger. They will be sent to a general regime colony.

The Crimean Tatar Resource Center emphasizes that this is yet another example of the occupiers persecuting and punishing not only individuals, but entire families. Such cases testify to the intensification of the Russian Federation’s repressive policy towards the population of occupied Crimea.
