On June 26, we celebrate the 15th anniversary of the Day of the Crimean Tatar Flag, a symbol of dignity, struggle, historical memory and national unity of the Crimean Tatar people. This day is not just about a symbol, but about the people, who, despite the occupation, preserve their identity, culture, and belief in returning to a free Crimea.
In the modern history of Crimea, the Crimean Tatar flag has become a flag of resistance, a symbol of defiance not only for Crimean Tatars, but also for all Ukrainians who are fighting for freedom, truth, and their land. Thousands of voices, millions of hopes
are united around it. To mark this day, the Crimean Tatar Resource Center is launching a flash mob “Flags of the invictus” to make two flags – Ukrainian and Crimean Tatar – fly in every corner of Ukraine and the world.
How to join the flash mob?
- Take a photo with the Crimean Tatar flag or the Crimean Tatar flag together with the Ukrainian flag (physically or digitally).
- Post it on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter or other social media.
- Add a caption:
Briefly write: “What the Crimean Tatar flag means to you”.
- Put the hashtag: #LIBERATECRIMEA
- Tag the organizer of the flash mob: Crimean Tatar Resource Center
Let the whole world see these days that: Crimea is Ukraine. And the flags of our nations are a symbol of unity, resistance and hope.
Join the Flags of the Invictus flash mob to show that we are united and that we cannot be defeated!
