According to students, this year the situation is especially tough: if there is a risk of failing two subjects, the third failure is put “prophylactically” – to formalize the order for expulsion. From the university – straight to the military enlistment center.
Some students hoped that they would still have time to avoid the spring draft – for example, by enrolling in another university or finding an official job. But the exchange of information between CFU and military enlistment offices works lightning fast. The draft machine doesn’t wait.
According to “Yellow Tape”, from 2025 military recruitment centers of the Russian Federation can pick up conscripts at any moment after the summons is served. That is, if summoned in the spring, they can mobilize even after the end of conscription – even in the fall – without a second summons. This creates a new form of pressure, especially on young people from the temporarily occupied territories.
To protect residents of the temporarily occupied territories from illegal mobilization, the Crimean Tatar Resource Center continues the information campaign “Mogilization”, in the framework of which we inform what should be done in case if you are served a summons, if you are mobilized, how to sabotage mobilization, etc.
Receiving a summons to the Russian army is actually a notice of possible death. Forced mobilization of citizens in the temporarily occupied territories is one of the proofs that Putin’s entire military machine has proved ineffective.
