70 cases of violation of the right to a fair trial were registered in the occupied Crimea for the first quarter of 2025

During the first quarter of 2025, 70 cases of violations of the right to a fair trial were recorded in the occupied Crimea, 39 of which were against representatives of the indigenous Crimean Tatar people. During the same period in 2024, 82 such cases were recorded, and in 2023 – 94 cases. This is stated in the Analysis of human rights violations in the occupied Crimea for the first quarter of 2025 by the Crimean Tatar Resource Center.

During the reporting period, in addition to the extension of arrests, sentences and new arrests, systematic rejections of lawyers’ appeals and fines continued.
