Today, 26 February 2025, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted a resolution on the Statement to the parliaments and governments of foreign states, international organizations and interparliamentary assemblies, calling on them to continue supporting Ukraine in the fight against Russian aggression. The decision was adopted on the occasion of the Day of resistance to the occupation of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Akyar (Sevastopol) – 291 people’s deputies voted in favor of the relevant document. The document confirms that the issue of Crimea remains a priority for Ukraine, and its deoccupation is an integral part of restoring the territorial integrity of the state. The statement notes the necessity of strengthening sanctions pressure on Russia, responsibility for war crimes, systematic repressions and human rights violations in the occupied Crimea.
