For 11 years the whereabouts of missing Euromaidan activists in Crimea remain unknown

In early March 2014, Euromaidan activists from Rivne Valeriy Vashchuk and Ivan Bondarets disappeared in the occupied Crimea.

On March 6, they were detained by the Russian “police” in Akmesdzhit (Simferopol). On March 7, Valery Vashchuk called his sister Svitlana and reported about the detention at the train station. In a conversation with his sister Valery noted that they went to the platform with an unfurled Ukrainian flag in their hands. Since then there has been no contact with the missing.

For 11 years their whereabouts remain unknown.

On the website of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine there is information about the disappearance of Valery Vashchuk and Ivan Bondarets. The Department of Internal Affairs of the Kherson region opened a criminal case under Article 115 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine “Intentional murder”.

There is no information about the disappearance of Valeriy Vashchuk and Ivan Bondarets on the websites of the Russian law-enforcement agencies.
