370 people persecuted in criminal “cases” during the occupation of Crimea – CTRC

Currently, according to the Crimean Tatar Resource Center, 370
political prisoners and those persecuted in criminal “cases” during
the occupation of Crimea have been recorded, 228 of them are
representatives of the Crimean Tatar people.

According to the CTRC, this category consists of 5 subcategories
depending on the status of the persecuted person:

– sentenced and serve terms in  penal colonies (176, 107 –
Crimean Tatars);

– have restrictions or on probation (49, 25 – Crimean Tatars);

– in a pre-trial detention center (54, 33 – Crimean Tatars);

– released (57, 35 – Crimean Tatars);

– persecuted (34, 28 – Crimean Tatars).
