Residents of occupied Crimea complain about partial lack of heating

November 12, 2024

Residents of the occupied Crimea complain about frequent heating outages, the main reason for which is the spot development of coastal cities and Akmesdzhit (Simferopol), which has caused regular accidents on heating mains. This was reported by representatives of the Crimean branch of the international campaign for the de-occupation of Crimea #LiberateCrimea to a correspondent of Krym.Realii.

The heating season in Akmesdzhit (Simferopol) began on October 18, but due to constant accidents on heating mains, the heat supply is often interrupted. Activists note that excessive construction has significantly increased the load on heating networks, which are unable to withstand it, which is the reason for the frequent outages.

According to the activists, it is urgent to introduce a ban on spot construction in Akmesdzhit, as the problems with heat, water and
electricity supply will only get worse due to the increased load on the existing infrastructure.
