CTRC donates puzzles with historical names of Crimean settlements to educational institutions of Khmelnytsky region

October 30, 2024

Our team continues the information campaign “Let’s Return the Names –
Let’s Return Crimea”, in which we not only talk about the importance
of restoring place names on the peninsula, but also do it with
enthusiasm and creativity.

As a reminder, we try to work with different audiences, so we have
developed exclusive wooden puzzles “Map of Crimean Territorial
Communities with Historical Names of Settlements under the New
Administrative System”.

This time, we handed these puzzles over to educational institutions in
Khmelnytsky Oblast: Starosyniavsk Lyceum named after Oleksandr
Romanenko and Zastavets Gymnasium.

Our activists in these institutions told the children more about the
history of Crimea and the indigenous peoples of Ukraine, as well as
about the real authentic names of the peninsula’s settlements.

We are sincerely glad that our product has become a part of
interesting and interactive education. It is with the help of such
auxiliary materials that we will be able to introduce more and more
children to the true history of Ukrainian Crimea.

Soon we will deliver these puzzles to other cities of Ukraine. Follow us!

These puzzles were created within the framework of the #LIBERATECRIMEA
campaign, which was presented by the Crimean Tatar Resource Center as
part of the USAID/ENGAGE activity, which is funded by the United
States Agency for International Development (USAID) and implemented by
Pact in Ukraine. The contents of this campaign are the sole
responsibility of Pact and its partners and do not necessary reflect
the views of USAID or the United States Government.
