October 24, 2024

The team of the Crimean Tatar Resource Center handed over the
full-length documentary “Witnesses of the 1944 Genocide” in three
languages to the Museum of the Occupation of Latvia for their archive.

We remind you that this film is dedicated to the investigation and
recognition of the deportation of the Crimean Tatar people as an act
of genocide.

Witnesses of this terrible crime in the film tell about the fate of
hundreds of thousands of other deported Crimean Tatars. The footage
presented in the movie is exclusive. They were filmed during court
hearings as part of the investigation into the criminal proceedings on
the genocide of the Crimean Tatar people in 1944.

Some of the film’s characters are no longer alive, but their testimony
will forever remain legally relevant and will serve as a source of
objective information about the terrible tragedy of the indigenous
people of Crimea.
