The CTRC developed 11 information leaflets in English on the importance of recognition  Deportation 1944 as genocide of the Crimean Tatar people

October 21, 2024

The Crimean Tatar Resource Center has prepared information leaflets on the importance of recognition  Deportation of the Crimean Tatar people  in 1944 as an act of genocide.

These leaflets detail the facts of the forced deportation, explain why it is genocide, what consequences it entailed for the people, and how the current occupation of Crimea by the rf and the full-scale Russian-Ukrainian war continues this criminal policy.

These leaflets were created to inform members of parliaments around the world about the Deportation 1944 and will be presented for the first time during the III Parliamentary Summit of the Crimea Platform, namely during the side-event to be held on 23 October in Riga (Latvia).

This material will be part of a large information campaign aimed at raising awareness of the crimes against the Crimean Tatar people and calling on the countries of the world to officially recognize the deportation as genocide.
In addition to distributing them at the summit, we will also send these leaflets to government representatives in different countries so that they recognise the deportation as an act of genocide as soon as possible. This step is an important part of the struggle for historical justice and the rights of the Crimean Tatar people.

Very soon we will publish the English version of these leaflets on CTRC resources so that you can read them as well. We urge everyone to distribute them to attract the attention of as many people as possible, because this crime must be condemned!
