362 prosecuted in criminal ‘cases’ recorded during the occupation of Crimea – CTRC

The Crimean Tatar Resource Centre has recorded 362 political prisoners and those prosecuted in criminal ‘cases’ during the occupation of Crimea, 226 of them are representatives of the Crimean Tatar people.

According to the CTRC, this category consists of 5 subcategories depending on the status of the persecuted:

– sentenced and serve terms in  colonies (171, 104 are Crimean Tatars);

– have restrictions or on probation (48, 25 – Crimean Tatars);

– in pre-trial detention facilities (52, 34 – Crimean Tatars);

– released (57, 35 – Crimean Tatars);

– persecuted (34, 28 – Crimean Tatars).
