For a week already, political prisoner Oleksandr Sizikov has been kept in pre-trial detention center No. 1 in Akmesdzhit city (Simferopol), but he is being prepared for a new transfer outside the peninsula. This was reported by journalists of the ‘Graty’ publication.

The lawyer of the political prisoner Sofie Shabanova is sure that the state of health of Sizikov goes beyond those diseases that allow to serve time behind bars.
Recall, Oleksandr Sizikov was arrested on 7 July 2020 as a result of mass searches and unfounded charges in the case of ‘Hizb ut-Tahrir’. In addition to him, six other people were arrested and sent to the pre-trial detention centre. Due to complete loss of vision, Sizikov was placed under house arrest.
However, on 13 September 2024, the rf military court of appeals ruled that Sizikov could serve his sentence in a correctional institution, which is a violation of fundamental human rights.
