CTRC donates puzzles with historical names of Crimean settlements to school in Kyiv

September 30, 2024

The Crimean Tatar Resource Center continues the information campaign ‘Let’s return the names – let’s return Crimea’, which tells about the importance of restoring place names on the peninsula.

As a reminder, we are trying to work with different audiences, so we have developed exclusive wooden puzzles ‘Map of Crimean Territorial Communities with Historical Names of Settlements under the New Administrative System’.

We have already handed over these puzzles to educational and cultural institutions in different cities of Ukraine. In particular, on 30 September, the CTRC handed them over to the A+ Gymnasium in Kyiv, along with Crimean Tatar flags and the book ‘Crimean Tatars as an Indigenous People’ by Natalia Belitser. These materials will be used during a charity fair, the proceeds of which will go to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

We are sincerely glad that with the help of such auxiliary creative materials we will be able to introduce more and more children to the real history of Ukrainian Crimea and remind them of the simple truth that Crimea is Ukraine!

These puzzles were created as part of the #LIBERATECRIMEA campaign, which was presented by the Crimean Tatar Resource Center as part of its project implemented under the USAID/ENGAGE activity, which is funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and implemented by Pact. The contents of this campaign are the sole responsibility of Pact and its partners and do not necessary reflect the views of USAID or the United States Government.
