On September 25, a “judge” from the occupied Crimea, Maria Bedritska from the “Razdolnensky District Court” was sentenced in absentia to 13 years in prison with confiscation of property in the Podilsky District Court of Kyiv for treason. This was reported by the Center of journalistic investigations

It is noted that on October 18, 2013, a 44-year-old Maria Bedritskaya was appointed a judge of the Razdolnensky District Court of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea for five years. After the beginning of the Russian occupation of the peninsula, she broke her oath and became a so-called “judge” in the “Razdolnensky District Court of the Republic of Crimea” created by the Russian Federation.

On October 11, 2016, Maria Bedritskaya, guided by the legislation of the Russian Federation, decided to change the previously imposed “punishment” of 320 hours of compulsory labor to 40 days of imprisonment with serving the sentence in a penal colony for Ukrainian activist Volodymyr Balukh. Subsequently, it issued a “verdict” finding Balukh guilty of allegedly “possessing ammunition” and imposed a final sentence of 3 years and 7 months in prison, as well as a fine of 10 thousand rubles.
