Occupants transfer political prisoner Akim Bekirov to Chuvashia

The Crimean political prisoner Akim Bekirov was transferred to the penal colony №9 in the city of Tsivilsk, Republic of Chuvashia. This was reported by his wife Sabriye Bekirova to Crimean Solidarity.

Bekirov was taken from the prison in Balashov, Saratov region, on September 12, 2024. He was then transported through several stages to pre-trial detention centers in Saratov, Kazan and Tsivilsk. On October 1, he informed his family that he was going to be sent to a colony. After arriving at the CF-9, Akim was able to transfer the letter through another Crimean political prisoner who is in quarantine.

Let us recall that Akim Bekirov was arrested on March 27, 2019 in the so-called  “Hizb ut-Tahrir case. II Simferopol Group”. On March 18, 2022, he was sentenced to 14 years in prison under Articles 205.5(2), 30(1) and 278 of the Russian Criminal Code.
