In August 2024, 8 cases of illegal transfer were recorded in the occupied Crimea – CTRC

September 16, 2024

For August 2024, 8 cases of  illegal transfer  were recorded, all of them in relation to the Crimean Tatars.

The occupants escorted: Raim Ayvazov, Remzi Bekirov, Abdulmedzit Seytumerov, Amethan Umerov, Eldar Yakubov, Seidamet Mustafayev, Remzi Nimetulaev and Ruslan Asanov.

We emphasize that the deportation of political prisoners takes place in inhumane conditions: without proper medical care, in overcrowded cells and under constant psychological and physical pressure. These methods are part of Russia’s targeted policy towards Crimean Tatars and all pro-Ukrainian residents of the peninsula, which aims to break the morale of political prisoners and isolate them from the support of society.

In addition, the occupants purposefully remove them from Crimea for political reasons, so that people could not hold actions near prisons, as well as to complicate the mechanism of communication with relatives and friends.
