The health condition of political prisoner Zaur Abdullaiev, who was sentenced to 12 years in prison by the occupants, has deteriorated. This is reported by ‘Crimean Solidarity’ public association.
His wife Emine Abdullaieva said that Zaur Abdullaiev was diagnosed with type II diabetes and hypertension. Now the man needs to be examined by an endocrinologist and undergo some tests because of the diagnosed type II diabetes and hypertension.
‘I watched his eyes – the whites were an unnatural colour. He had been to an endocrinologist more than three years ago. He needs a check-up to adjust some appointments,’ – she said.
The woman also added that her husband’s eyesight has significantly deteriorated. In addition, due to the lack of vitamins teeth were spoilt, many of them crumbled.
We would like to remind that on 17 August 2021, Russian security forces came to the homes of five Crimean Tatars: Dzebbar Bekirov, Zaur Abdullaiev, Rustem Tairov, Raif Fevziev and Rustem Murasov. All activists were detained. All of them were placed in pre-trial detention centres.
