Phoolman Chaudhary, Chairman, Asian Indigenous International Network (AIIN), Kathmandu, Nepal for the 30th International Day of the World’s Indigenous Peoples noted the importance of ensuring the right to self-determination.
‘The right to self-determination is not just a principle; it is the very essence of indigenous peoples’ survival, identity and dignity. It is the foundation on which we build our future, based on our cultures, lands and autonomy,’ -he emphasised.
