Crimean Tatar political prisoner Lenie Umerova has written a new letter from the Russian pre-trial detention centre, in which she spoke about her health condition and conditions of detention. This was reported by the girl’s brother Aziz Umerov  via his Facebook.

‘Today it’s raining in Lefortovo. I recently returned from a walk, a little wet. I made tea and sit down to tell you how I’m doing. The week passed without much news, everything is quiet. I take the camera by myself and to develop my voice I read aloud. Every time the postmen look through the peephole in amusement to see who I’m talking to. ‘With the water tank, he’s my Friday. No, it doesn’t leak!’ – she wrote.

Lenie noted that she took tests and according to their results she has iron deficiency in the body. Recently, the girl has dizziness, as well as hair loss.

‘During the walks headache starts when they turn on propaganda, well I’m not sure what my iron has to do with it. And also hair falls out terribly, of course it’s time to cut them off a little, but I’m not sure that it’s hygienic here, and I can’t do it myself. So I ignore them for now, let them fall out and braid them,’- Lenie said.
