On Friday, 26 July, the Kyiv district ‘court’ in Simferopol extended the arrest in the pre-trial detention centre of the defendants in the case of ‘Hizb ut-Tahrir’. Rustem Osmanov, Aziz Azizov, Memet Lumanov, Mustafa Abduramanov will remain in custody until 4 November 2024.
We would like to remind that on 5 March 2024, Russian security forces conducted searches in ten houses of Crimean Tatars in Bakhchisarai and Dzhankoy district of the occupied Crimea, namely in the houses of: Rustem Osmanov, Aziz Azizov, Memet Lumanov, Mustafa Abduramanov, Remzi Kurtnezirov, Vait Mustafayev, Ali Mamutov, Arsen Kashka, Enver Khalilaev, Nariman Ametov.
Later, all of them were elected ‘preventive measure in the form of detention’ for 2 months, and Remzi Kurtnezirov was elected ‘preventive measure in the form of house arrest’ for the same period.
