In the first half of 2024, 20 cases of issuing fines were recorded, 8 – in relation to Crimean Tatars. For the same period in 2023, 26 (14 against Crimean Tatars) were recorded, and in 2022, 25 (12 against Crimean Tatars).

The total amount of fines is 802,500 rubles (240,750 hryvnias).

Earlier, the Crimean Tatar Resource Centre presented an analysis of human rights violations in the occupied Crimea for the first half of 2024. According to the organisation, 51 searches, 71 arrests/detentions and 63 cases of interrogations, interviews and ‘conversations’ were recorded during the reporting period. The total number of arrests for the first half of 2024 is 92.
