A man who allegedly sabotaged a gas pipeline in Koreiz in occupied Crimea on the instructions of the Security Service of Russia has been sentenced to 18 years in prison
According to the information of the FSSB of Russia in the Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol, 43-year-old resident of Yalta in June 2023 on the instructions of the SBU allegedly took explosives from a pre-equipped cache, installed them on one of the sections of the gas pipeline in the settlement Koreiz and blew it up.
The man was detained. Occupation law enforcers report that he confessed to what he had done, but whether this confession is sincere is unknown.
The man was sentenced to 18 years of imprisonment with serving the sentence in a strict regime penal colony and the first 4 years in prison, as well as a fine of 500 thousand rubles.
