Overcrowded infectious disease wards of hospitals: the situation in Crimea has worsened – #Liberatecrimea

The epidemiological situation in the occupied Crimea has worsened. This is evidenced by the overcrowded infectious disease departments of hospitals.

This information was provided to Krym.Realii in the Crimean branch of the international movement for the deoccupation of Crimea #Liberateсrimea.

According to the information of activists the most difficult situation in Simferopol (Akmesdzhit).

‘In Simferopol all infectious disease departments are overcrowded, heavy patients are sent by ambulance to hospitals in Belogorsk and Bakhchysarai. Mostly the diagnosis is allegedly viral pneumonia. Patients complain that in the district hospitals the food is terrible, for example, in Belogorsk only bread is normal, the rest of the food does not stand up to criticism, beds with nets sagging almost to the floor… In the hospitals of resort towns there is also an overabundance of patients, but here there are many patients with rotavirus infections due to constant breakdowns of sewage treatment facilities and discharge of sewage into the sea,’ – said the activist.

The Crimean branch of #Liberatecrimea notes that the occupation Russia-controlled Crimean Ministry of Health is failing to cope with the functions assigned to it.

‘The Crimean Ministry of Health ignores the appeals of Crimeans on its pages in social networks. The department is a mess. Aksyonov was imposed on the new Minister of the Crimean Ministry of Health Aleksey Natarov from a district hospital in the Voronezh region of neighbouring Russia, this is the tenth person in this position after the occupation. Obviously, the Presidential Administration of the Russian Federation is tired of the flow of complaints from Crimea on the issue of medicine and no longer trust local collaborators who have failed in their work, but the appointment of an ordinary doctor from the Russian countryside to such a responsible position looks strange,’ – said the #Liberatecrimea activist .
