A 66-year-old resident of the village of Novooleksiivka was detained for “participation in the Noman Chelebidzhikhan battalion”. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia.
A criminal case has been opened against the detainee under Part 2 of Article 208 of the Criminal Code (“Participation in an armed formation not established by federal law for purposes contrary to the interests of Russia”).
He will be charged and chosen a preventive measure. The investigation of the “case” is ongoing.
According to the Russian investigation, in December 2015, the accused voluntarily joined the battalion and, as a member, was engaged in running a subsidiary farm, delivering food to the place of deployment of members of the formation and actively participated in the meetings of the organization.
