The so-called “mufti” of Crimea, Emirali Ablaev, who called on Crimean Tatars to support the war, has been given a 12-year prison sentence in absentia. This is reported by the Main Department of the SBU in Crimea.
According to the materials of the case, Ablaev was engaged in the organization of mass events during which he tried to “recruit” Crimeans in the occupation army and repeatedly spoke on the air of the central Russian TV channels, where he supported the armed aggression of rf against Ukraine.
The court found Ablaev guilty under:
- p. 3 of Article 436-2 (“Justification, recognition of legitimacy, denial of the armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, glorification of its participants”);
- p. 6 of Article 111-1 (” Collaboration activity”).
