Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that he intends to reduce the air threat from the direction of Crimea. He said this in an interview with The Washington Post.
He said that Ukraine needs ATACMS missiles with a range of up to 300 kilometers to be able to hit targets on the territory of the occupied Crimea.
“When Russia knows we can destroy these planes, they will not attack from Crimea. It’s like with the Navy. We drove them out of our territorial waters. Now we will drive them out of the airports in Crimea,” Zelensky said.
According to the President, among the targets that ATACMS-300 plan to attack are airfields from which the occupants launch airplanes with precision missiles.
