How do the occupiers brainwash in the occupied territories of Ukraine?

In the context of the Russian-Ukrainian war, the Russian Federation does not limit itself to military actions only, but also actively uses ideological and informational methods to achieve its goals.

One manifestation of this is the establishment of museums in the occupied territories of Ukraine that promote the Russian version of history and events. For example, a museum “Russia – My History” was opened in Melitopol, which aims to distort historical facts and strengthen the ideological influence on the population aimed at legitimizing the occupation and military actions against Ukraine.

This information war is being waged not only in the occupied territories, but also in Russia itself, where state propaganda praising Russian imperialist policies and portraying Ukraine in a negative light is imposed through the media, educational programs and public events. This is aimed at forming in russian citizens a hostile attitude towards Ukraine and its people, as well as supporting the idea of “historical justice” of Russian aggression. The enemy is doing the same in the occupied territories of Ukraine.

Countering this information aggression is an important front in the fight for the independence and sovereignty of Ukraine. It is important to expose the falsifications of history, propaganda myths and false narratives that are spread by the occupiers. Educational programs, media, cultural events and international cooperation should be aimed at protecting historical truth, strengthening national identity and supporting international law and order.

The struggle for truth and historical justice is not just about defending the facts of the past. It is a struggle for the future of our future generations, for the right to live in a world where truth wins, not propaganda and ideological manipulation. This is the foundation on which a just and free Ukraine is built.
