Lenur Yakubov released from prison

March 14, 2024

Today, on 14 March, a Crimean activist Lenur Yakubov was released. This was reported by Crimean Solidarity.

He was held in a pre-trial detention centre in Akmesdzhit (Simferopol).

” I consider the arrest to be illegal. I did not agree with the court’s decision. The case is stitched with white threads. The lawyer justified his position in the court. Now I will appeal, and we will seek justice,” Lenur Yakubov said after his release from the detention centre.

Let us remind that on 29 February, searches were conducted in the houses of Crimean Tatars in Crimea. Russian “authorities” arrested Lenur Yakubov, Izet Saifullin, Idris Yurdamov and Shevket Kiyamov.
