Friends, we continue to share with you the works and books by both Ukrainian and foreign academic researchers on the history of the Crimean Tatars and Crimea.
Today we would like to present you an English-language book entitled: “Crimea in 2014: Current Issues in the Light of International Law” 2016, authored by Paul Unglaub. He was born in Berlin and studied law and French in Vienna, Edinburgh and Louvain-la-Neuve.
It is worth noting that the main focus of the book was to determine the degree of (un)legality of the Russian Federation’s actions of occupation and attempted annexation of Crimea. The author carefully analyses the arguments broadcast by the aggressor state as part of its attempts to legitimise its own actions in Crimea, and consistently refutes them.
