Investigative bodies of the Russian Investigative Committee have opened a criminal case against a 35-year-old resident of the Razdolnensky district of the occupied Crimea for «insulting the feelings of believers».
According to the Russian investigation, the resident of the village of Strumki posted in social networks «images and comments offensive to Orthodox believers, available to a wide range of Internet users». Investigators conducted a search at the place of residence of the defendant, seized equipment and «items of interest to the investigative authorities.»
The man is charged with part 1 of article 148 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation («Committing public actions to offend the religious feelings of believers»).
