On Monday, March 11, a Crimean Tatar was detained in Genichesk, Kherson region, for allegedly taking an active part in the Crimean Tatar volunteer battalion named after Noman Celebidzhikhan.

The occupiers reported that they had opened a criminal case under Part 2 of Article 208 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.

“It has been established that since December 2015, a 55-year-old resident of Genichesk voluntarily joined and participated in the armed unit “Crimean Tatar Volunteer Battalion named after Noman Chelebidzhikhan”, the statement said.
