Former Imam Ramzi Kurtnezirov placed under house arrest

The Kyiv District «court» of Akmesdzhit (Simferopol) has imposed house arrest on former Imam Remzi Kurtnezirov. Lawyer Safie Shabanova reported this to Crimean Solidarity.

Kurtnezirov will stay under home arrest until May 4.

According to the lawyer, Kurtnezirov has a number of very serious illnesses that should prevent him from being detained: he has been diagnosed with a hyperintense disease of the third degree and has the consequences of a brain disease. In addition, he has already suffered three strokes and has diabetes.

Let us remind  that on March 5, in the morning, a wave of mass searches took place in the homes of Crimean Tatars in Crimea. All detainees were accused of violating Article 205.5 of the Criminal Code.
