Political prisoner Riza Omerov is forced to celebrate his 36th birthday in FSB custody

On March 3, political prisoner Riza Omerov, a defendant in the «Hizb ut-Tahrir case», turned 36 years old. He is forced to celebrate his birthday in the FSB, where he and other defendants in the «case» were illegally placed by the occupation authorities of the peninsula. We would like to remind you that on June 10, Russian security forces conducted mass searches in the homes of Crimean Tatars in Alushta, Belogorsk and Simferopol. As a result, 8 people were detained on suspicion of involvement in the organization «Hizb ut-Tahrir» banned in the Russian Federation. On June 10 and 11, the Kyiv district «court» of Simferopol chose a measure of restraint in the form of detention until August 5 for the Crimean Tatars detained after the searches – Riza Omerov, Enver Omerov, Aider Dzhepparov, Eskender Suleymanov, Ruslan Nagaev, Eldar Kantimirov, Ruslan Mensutov and Lenur Khalilov. Later, the occupants repeatedly extended the preventive measure for the political prisoners. On January 12, the Southern District Military Court in Rostov-on-Don announced the verdict to the defendants of the Belogorsk «Hizb ut-Tahrir» case. Enver Omerov was sentenced to 18 years, Aider Dzhepparov to 17 years, Riza Omerov to 13 years in prison.
