February 16, 2024

The Saky district court in occupied Crimea found NeliHoholenko, who moved to the peninsula from the village of Bohdanivka in the Kherson region, guilty of discrediting the RF Armed Forces. She allegedly threatened the Russian military in the store.

The occupiers claim that in January 2024, Nelia Hoholenko quarreled with two military men in a store in the village of Frunze, Saky region, and threatened them with the Armed Forces of Ukraine. On the street, local residents allegedly pointed out her uncivil behavior and called the police, who did not find the basis for an administrative offense.

After 16 days, the woman was detained by employees of the occupational Center for Countering Extremism. With the help of threats to deprive her of parental rights to her two children, she was forced to record a video of her confession.
