In 2023, Russian security forces placed Crimean political prisoners in punishment cells, special units and solitary confinement at least 22 times. This is stated in the analysis of human rights violations in Crimea for 2023 by the Crimean Tatar Resource Center.

The following were placed in the punishment cell: Arsen Dzhepparov, Timur Yalkabov (3), Eldar Kantimirov (3), Server Zekiryaev (2), Dilyaver Gafarov, Volodymyr Yakymenko (3), Teymur Abdullaev, Marlen Asanov (2), Memet Belyalov, Server Mustafayev.

In special blocks: Amet Suleymanov and Seydamet Mustafaev.

In solitary confinement: Hennadii Lymeshko and Oleksii Kyseliov.

In fact, the practice of placing Crimean political prisoners in punishment cells is already widespread and does not cause any surprise. This trend began to actively manifest itself in 2020. The occupiers continue to put pressure on our compatriots in order to break and subjugate them.

It is important not to remain silent about these cases, but to record and talk about them.
