Political prisoners Ekrem Krosh and Leman Zekiryaev stated that they were tortured in pre-trial detention center 2 of Aqmescit (Simferopol). Lawyer Lilia Hemedzhi reported this to Crimean Solidarity.
Ekrem Krosh told her that they personally used a stun gun on him, and also punched and kicked him.
“He sat bent over for 3 hours with his hands raised behind his head. At the same time, psychological pressure was applied to him, and he was also called various obscene words. Zekiryaev Leman also confirmed that force was used against him, he was beaten, called names and subjected to psychological pressure”,- the human rights activist noted.
We remind you that on January 24, 2023, Russian security forces, as a result of mass searches in the villages of the Bakhchysarai region, detained six representatives of the indigenous Crimean Tatar people – Ekrem Krosh, Aider Asanov, Refat Seidametov, Osman Abdurazakov, Leman Zekiryaev, Khalil Mambetov.
They were accused of participating in the organization Hizb ut-Tahrir, which is banned on the territory of the Russian Federation, and are charged with Article 205.5 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (Organizing the activities of a terrorist organization and participating in it).
